be a member of the Issaquah community. Originally from Shelton, Washington, Dr. Loving moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington, earning her Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees.

Her graduate awards include: American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Award, Quintessence Award for Clinical

Achievement in Restorative Dentistry, Washington Association of Women Dentists' Clinical Excellence & Professionalism Award, Certificate of Service Award, Pre-doctoral Scholarship, and the International College of General Dentists Scholarship.

Dr. Loving has enjoyed being a part-time faculty member at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. In addition, she is a member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and Seattle King County Dental Society. She served a three-year term as a legislative delegate for the Washington State Dental Association. In addition, she served consecutive terms as the chairperson for National Dental Children's Health Month. She was also elected by her peers to serve on the Executive Council for the Seattle King County Dental Society. The "Best of Issaquah" award was bestowed to her multiple years for favorite dentist.

Experience, expertise, and dedication to her patients are what assure quality results. Dr. Loving believes in compassionate care, quality dentistry, technological advances, and the pursuit of continuing education.

Her outside interests include family time, reading, traveling, and scrapbooking. She and her husband, John, and two children, enjoy living and participating in their community.

Our business staff is also of the highest quality and equally dedicated to providing superior patient care. They provide invaluable support by assisting with insurance and other paperwork as well as maintaining efficient scheduling systems.

Dr. Alberta Esi Quaidoo
Dentist

Alberta Esi Quaidoo, DDS is a native of Ghana in West Africa and currently resides in Bellevue. After 25+ years in the Evergreen State, She is happy to call Washington home with her husband and two teenage children.

After pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, Dr. Quaidoo gained admission to the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1985 where her commitment to excellence earned her the F.L. Jacobsen Operative Dentistry Award, The Callihan Memorial Scholarship Awards, The Washington Dental Service Award, and the Academy of Dentistry for the Handicapped Award.

Since her graduation in 1989, Dr. Quaidoo has been a member of several professional organizations and has been privileged to serve in a number of clinical settings including two private practices of her own in Burien and Bellevue. She enjoys helping her patients and clients improve their oral health. Additionally, she is passionate about the mind/body connection and creating attractive, healthy smiles which can draw out the true essence, the Inner Smile.

When she is not performing dentistry, Dr. Quaidoo loves spending quality time with her family, listening to music, playing the piano, reading, writing, teaching, and empowering others.

She is excited about teaming up with Dr. Loving and her wonderful staff, and is committed to serving the ‘Loving Community’ with integrity, compassion, and distinction.

Dr. David Au-Yeung
Dentist

Dr. David Au-Yeung is a board certified periodontist. Originally from San Francisco, David attended Tufts Dental School in Boston. Upon completing dental school, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), David completed a one-year General Practice Residency at

Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. As part of the residency, the hospital promoted a wide variety of clinical experiences in a hospital setting, among them are oral implantology, emergency medicine, oral surgery, restorative dentistry, and a comprehensive didactic program.

David then moved to Portland, Oregon to attend the 3-year Periodontal Program at Oregon Health and Science University. It is during this time in Portland that he fell in love with the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and moved to Seattle. With an easy-going, fun-loving attitude, David is compassionate about providing the best periodontal care. David is part of numerous dental associations and attends many meetings to keep abreast of the latest technologies. David enjoys traveling, leisure reading, eating, and the great outdoors.

Dr. Nadeem Merchant
Dentist

Dr. Merchant is a graduate of Boston's Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After completing his undergraduate degree in microbiology at the University of Washington, Dr. Merchant left the Northwest to discover the historic city of Boston. Here, he had an opportunity to be

mentored by some of the greatest names in dentistry. Dr. Merchant finds dentistry offers him the opportunity to meld the world of art and science to create beautiful smiles. His number one goal has always been to make patients feels as comfortable as possible in his care. This comfort is achieved through a trusting relationship built on patient education, a compassionate and caring staff, and great customer service.

Currently, Dr. Merchant practices general and cosmetic dentistry in Redmond, WA. He is excited and honored to join the team at Loving Dentistry. He remains committed to several study clubs, continuing education classes, and county, state and national dental associations.

When he is not at work or at a continuing education class, Dr. Merchant enjoys spending time with his friends, family, and twin girls that make life truly wondrous.

Michelle
Practice Manager

Michelle grew up in the dental field; sitting in her dad’s lap while he did lab work at the kitchen table. Dr. Jacque Mayo practiced dentistry in the Green Lake / Northgate area. While Michelle was attending the University of Washington, she worked for her dad and his two partners in their office

doing sterilization, then moved up after she graduated to a full time Front Office position. After working there for five years, she was then hired to manage a new dental office.

Michelle worked for a local dentist for 12 years; managing one of his offices, launching his new satellite offices, and helping troubleshoot the other offices. She has been in the dental field for almost 20 years doing practice management, launching start-up practices, consulting, staffing, staff management, marketing and increasing practice profitability. Michelle is really excited to be joining the team at Loving Dentistry.

Michelle’s passions in life are her many animals. She has three Dalmatians, seven horses and a mini-donkey. She competes on the west coast in Show Jumping on two of her horses. She volunteers for the Dalmatian Rescue of Puget Sound, fostering and helping the Dals find new permanent homes. She enjoys the outdoors, skiing, hiking, and drinking fine wine!
